Austin, Texas (September 30, 2010) – The Hondo Group, a full-service marketing communications firm, announces the recent addition of five new interns for the fall of 2010. Anthony Esh, Kia Johnson, Doug McAdoo, Jamie Tamez and Daniel Valle will assist the firm in various areas of business from account service to creative aspects.
Esh is a graduate of Marquette University with a B.A. in advertising. While attending Marquette, Esh served as an account executive for the school newspaper. In addition, he brings a refined skillset to the company that he acquired while fulfilling a web marketing internship position with Fotosearch, a leading stock photography website.
Johnson, of Dallas, TX, is a senior at the University of Notre Dame, majoring in design with a concentration in graphic design. Prior to working with The Hondo Group she worked with Notre Dame's printing press, Ave Maria Press, as well as Legends of Notre Dame as a promotional material designer. Johnson came to The Hondo Group due to its ability to offer an expanse of knowledge in interactive design as well as its ideal location.
McAdoo is a graduate of James Madison University with a B.S. in communication studies and is assisting with public relations and marketing. He previously held a position in the Public Relations Student Society of America that allowed him to gain considerable experience in client relations, copywriting, bookkeeping and personnel management. "Working with The Hondo Group will afford a great opportunity to gain invaluable experience in an innovative firm with a proven track record," said McAdoo.
With a master's degree in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, Valle contributes extensive knowledge to The Hondo Group's creative sector. "Strategic branding that is based in both creativity and results is an approach I wanted to experience," said Valle. He will assist the company with file preparation for creative tasks as well as job routing. In addition, Valle won the International Creative Advertising Award from the Art Directors Club for student print campaigns.
Tamez is currently pursuing a degree in advertising at the University of Texas at Austin where she formerly headed the account planning team of TAGlines, a student branding agency with many nationally-recognized clients. In light of such experience, Tamez is assisting The Hondo Group's marketing efforts. "In all, the opportunity to learn from an experienced, talented group of people is what brought me to The Hondo Group," said Tamez.
"Our newly formed roster of interns has notable experience in the fields within which we operate. They have set themselves apart from others in their respective fields by actively engaging in organizations, programs and course studies related to advertising, marketing, and communications," said Lynn Balinas, president of The Hondo Group. "That is what we look for, and The Hondo Group is excited to have them join us in our efforts to evolve in innovating professional services and business planning."
